About this file
This document is a U.S. Department of Labor Wage Determination for service contracts covering Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. The wage determination (No. 1985-1233, Revision 51) establishes minimum wage rates and benefits for elevator repairers, with specific requirements based on contract dates. For contracts entered into on or after January 30, 2022, contractors must pay covered workers at least $17.75 per hour, while contracts awarded between January 1, 2015 and January 29, 2022, require a minimum of $13.30 per hour.
The document details comprehensive fringe benefits for elevator repairers, including $16.275 per hour for health and welfare, vacation pay ranging from 6-8% based on years of service, eight paid holidays annually, a $10.96 per hour pension contribution, $0.80 per hour educational fund, $10.40 per hour 401(k) annuity, and a $1.60 per hour Elevator Work Preservation Fund. Additionally, the wage determination notes the applicability of Executive Order 13706, which requires contractors to provide 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours annually, with provisions for personal and family health needs and addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
