About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the furnishings installation requirements for three buildings (9418, 9419, and 56651) at Fort Cavazos, focusing specifically on microwaves and related installation services. The project involves a non-staged delivery of furnishings to unoccupied buildings, with acceptable delivery hours between 0800-1600, and installation work spanning three floors. Key contractor responsibilities include coordinating delivery, uncrating and assembling items, installing microwaves and other electric appliances, ensuring proper placement according to provided drawings, cleaning and preparing items, and managing security and access requirements through the Clarke Road Gate military checkpoint.

The technical representative for the project is James Johnson, and the installation requires careful attention to building-specific logistics - for buildings 9418 and 9419, vendors can use a forklift to access 2nd and 3rd floors via catwalk, while building 56651 requires manual stair carry. Security protocols are strict, including cargo X-ray screening, requirements for valid driver's licenses and shipping documents, and prohibition of weapons. The contractor must also handle cleanup, documentation, and coordinate with the Technical Representative for any specific installation details or potential issues.

1. GENERAL

1.1 The Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and management to: (1) coordinate delivery; (2) load and unload; (3) place/install in designated rooms; (4) assemble items as required; (5) secure and store, as designated; and (6) properly dispose of all associated packaging/crating materials.

1.2 Awarded Contractor is responsible for verifying all existing field conditions, i.e., electrical power including, but not limited to, voltage, hertz, amperage, and outlets at each building through the Technical Representative.

1.3 The Technical Representative (TR) for this project is as shown in Table 1 of this document.

1.4 The contractor shall provide a digital color board of all furniture, finishes, and fabrics to the TR for reference, prior to manufacturing.

1.5 Upon final approval of the customer, the vendor shall reserve adequate quantities of fabrics from the manufacturer as soon as possible to avoid delays due to “out of stock” and/or “discontinued” fabrics.

1.6 If the awarded fabric is discontinued after award, the vendor shall contact the HNC

PM to develop a path forward.

2. DELIVERY

DELIVERY TYPES:

Staged Delivery – This type of delivery is selected for occupied buildings whereby the rooms must be emptied of old furnishings and reinstalled with the new furnishings by the end of each workday. The number of rooms that must be completed per day will be stated in the Table 1 of the Statement of Work (SOW). If there is a limited space for containers in the staging area, this will also be noted in the Table 1 of the Statement of Work. This information is important as it may dictate how the containers are loaded for delivery.

Non-Staged Delivery – This type of delivery is selected typically for empty buildings whereby the entire building is accessible during the install dates listed in the contract. This is important because it will dictate how the items are loaded into the containers for shipment.
