About this file
This document is a presentation for an Ediz Hook Beach Nourishment Industry Day (Virtual) hosted by the US Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District Navigation Section. The project involves beach nourishment for erosion control at Ediz Hook, with construction scheduled between 16 July 2026 and 30 September 2026. Key project details include procuring and placing 6 to 12-inch rounded cobbles along the seaward side of an existing revetment, with a total fill material volume of up to 40,000 tons. The project will extend approximately 2,000 feet, working from an access point towards the southwest, and all work will be conducted from land with minimal in-water activities.
The solicitation (Solicitation #: W912DW26B0001) is being considered as an Invitation for Bid, likely targeted at small businesses. The project has completed environmental documentation, with plans and specifications in progress, and an anticipated contract award in December 2025 or January 2026. The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking industry feedback on general project considerations, bid schedule (with a large portion potentially classified as option items), and solicitation type. Interested parties are encouraged to engage early, understand small business involvement, and utilize resources like SAM.gov and FPDS for subcontracting opportunities.
