March 22, 2024 - Amendment 0001 Ground Herbicide Treatment:

The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to provide the below changes and to answer questions from industry:

1. Update ADDENDUM TO 52.212-1 of the solicitation to include site visit location, time, date, Point of Contact and associated attachments (Site Visit Attachment 1 – Overview Map and Site Visit Attachment 2 – Site Visit Map).

2. Update the Performance Work Statement (PWS) in response to question(s) received from industry.

Note: The due date for receipt of quotes in response to this solicitation remains unchanged.

All other terms and conditions of this Solicitation remain unchanged.

Note to Contractors:

Per the solicitation, contractors are reminded to provide a signed copy of all amendments with their quote.

All amendments are provided within Attachments/Links section of this posting within SAM.gov. If an amendment is not acknowledged (signed and dated), this could preclude the contractor from award.

At this time, a site visit is not scheduled, but can be provided, if requested.

Site Visit:

The Government will conduct a site visit for this solicitation on March 28, 2024, 10:00 a.m., local time. Participants will meet at the Shell gas station/Nisqually market at 4031 Nisqually Market Village Dr SE, Olympia, WA 98513.

The site visit location is outside the Joint Base Lewis-McChord cantonment area and does not require base access.

The Government will not be providing transportation to the site visit location. Contractors are urged to inspect the site where ground herbicide treatment is to be performed and to satisfy themselves as to the general and local conditions which may affect the price of performance of the contract, to the extent such information is reasonably obtainable. In no event will a failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for withdrawal of a quote or for a claim after award of the contract. Attendance of the site-visit is not mandatory.

Two attachments (Site Visit Attachment 1 – Overview Map and Site Visit Attachment 2 – Site Visit Map) are being provided to give contractors perspective as to the travel distance between sites on any given Task Order.

The area(s) to be treated will be shown on mapped polygons, which will be provided to the contractor at the time of task order issuance. Task orders are generally issued approximately three weeks prior to the beginning of the period of performance, which will generally be 90 days in length, as described in section 1.2.1 below.

Will there be a map provided in advance to show which areas need to be treated?
