Q33. Please confirm all disturbed areas, including infiltration basins are to receive Tifway II Bermuda sod per specification section 32 92 23. Is hydroseed an acceptable alternative to sod?
A33. Specification 32 92 23 paragraph 2.1.4.1 ‘Proportion’ revised to indicate Turf Tall Fescue, Tar Heel II or similar variety with salt tolerance. Sod is required. Hydroseed is not acceptable.
Q34. Detail 1 on drawing C-501 shows a cross section of asphalt paving indicating 3" depth of HMA surface course.
Detail 9 on the same drawing shows a flush curb with a minimum thickness of 6" and matching adjacent thickness of HMA surface course. Which detail should we use for guidance of asphalt thickness to be installed? If the design intent for HMA to match the curb thickness within immediate vicinity of the curb, how many feet should we plan on installing 6" asphalt depth before transitioning to 3" depth.
A34. The design intent is to install 3" of HMA surface course with 8" of aggregate as indicated in Detail 1 on C-501.
The detail for the flush curb should only show the HMA halfway down the edge of curb with the aggregate continuing the rest of the way down to 8" once under HMA.
Q35. Upon review of the bid package, there were no instances of chemical data to be found. In an effort for all bidders to prepare an accurate bid proposal for this project, please provide soil analytical test results for onsite materials and a site history report, if available (to determine the proper classification of the material to be excavated).
A35. The Government has included all known soil information in the contract documents and solicitation. No additional analyses are available for the bidder’s consideration. Should the selected Contractor encounter soil conditions or contaminates of an unusual nature which should not have been expected, the Contractor may be instructed to follow FAR clause 52.236-2 Differing Site Conditions.

Q37. Drawing G-003 indicated we have to connect conduit from 1st Floor to second, can you please provide details or specifications regarding the ceiling/connection onto the floor as well as information regarding existing conditions?
A37. There is an existing empty conduit located in the chase as identified on Drawing G-003. This existing chase provides the Contractor routing to the second floor overhead space (above acoustical ceiling tiles). The Contractor is then responsible to provide the routing above the ACT to room 222 and to the existing panel board.
Q38. Please indicate what kind of certifications would be needed from the plants supplying stone /Aggregate Base/ Rip Rap.
