About this file
This solicitation is for maintenance dredging of Cheesequake Creek in New Jersey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposes to dredge approximately 9,000 cubic yards of critical shoals from the creek to a depth of -5 feet MLLW plus 2 feet of overdepth. The dredged material, estimated to consist of over 98% gravel and sand, must meet all federal, state, and local placement criteria and will be dewatered and transported to a suitable, state-permitted upland site. The work, anticipated to take place between July and October 2020, must be performed using a mechanical dredge with closed clamshell bucket and maintain a production rate of at least 1,000 cubic yards per day to minimize vessel traffic impacts. Liquidated damages of $2,020 per calendar day will be assessed for delays. Bids are due by April 13, 2020, and the contract is estimated to cost between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
