SUMMARY OF CHANGES

Questions and Responses for Office Furniture Solicitation:

Q: How likely are alternative manufacturers to be considered?

The selection is based on lowest priced, technically acceptable so vendors proposing the brand name products would not receive a higher rating than a comparable alternative manufacturers’ items; the rating is either “acceptable” or “unacceptable”. The evaluation team will look for the specifications from the statement of work to be met as noted in 6.1.11 “similar to the stated manufacture in terms of quality, system, style, type, and color” but not identical.

Q: The Statement of work and product scope indicate that work performed is to reconfigure the workspaces in Section 1, 2 and 3. Clarify if there is an existing panel system inventory to pull from or if all product is new?

No, there are no existing inventories; all products specified are new procurements to be purchased through this solicitation.

Q: Please provide panel elevations.

The cubicles specification in the SOW includes a privacy sliding door, translucent 68” height x

36” wide. Cubicle frame / panels should fit the door and the total cubicle size should be approximately 68”H x 102”W x 72”D for the section 2 cubicles, 68”H x 127”W x 87”D for section 3a, and 68”H x 144”W x 87”D for section 3b. See revised Price Schedule.

Q: When completing the J-2 Price Schedule, Section 2 and 3 calls for various components of the layout but there’s no space for the panels or electric components so ultimately if the sheet is completed as is it will not match the BOM.

The J-2 Price Schedule has been revised to include the cubicle panels and frames. The electrical components, and all other associated hardware and accessories, should be included in the CLIN for the items they are incorporated into. For clarity, electrical and other components can be explained in your proposal as “Pricing Assumptions”.

Q: In the private office, a table specs veneer while the rest is laminate. Our concern is that all pieces in the space will not match (as is also stated), with veneer and laminate having a noticeably different sheen.

The specifications are stated correctly. The table should have a veneer finish.
