About this file

This amendment modifies a solicitation for the Lower Wicomico River Maintenance Dredging project. The amendment updates the site visit time and date, changes the closing date in ProjNet to August 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM EDT, and directs offerors to submit any requests for information by that same closing date. The site visit will take place on August 9, 2022 at 11:30 AM at the Southern Impoundment Public Boat Ramp. The project involves the hydraulic dredging of approximately 120,000 cubic yards of material from the lower half of the Wicomico River, Maryland to a depth of 14 feet. Dredged material will be piped approximately 8 miles on average to a placement site 70 acres in size, located within the Wicomico River and Deal Island Wildlife Management Area. The placement site will be restored for increased migratory bird nesting habitat through the use of dredged material containment with straw bales and the construction of approximately 20 tidal ditch plugs. Vegetation planting and monitoring will occur over two growing seasons following material placement. This is a 100% small business set-aside solicitation issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
