About this file
This document contains a supplemental bid schedule for a federal construction contract to perform levee repair work along the left and right banks of Mud Creek in Abilene, Kansas. The work includes placing quarry run stone and excavating soil at various stations along the banks, constructing low water crossings and access ramps. The schedule provides line items for these tasks with units of measure, quantities, and space for three subcontractors to provide unit prices and extended costs. It specifies that the contractor shall complete this supplemental schedule in addition to the main bid schedule. The purpose is to assist the government in evaluating prices. The contractor is instructed to match line items and costs to their own estimates and assumptions as closely as possible. The schedule also includes spaces for the prime contractor to include markups for overhead, profit, bonding, and other costs.
This opportunity is a 100% small business set-aside solicitation issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, for construction services to repair damages to the Abilene Levee sustained during 2019 flooding. The scope of work involves grading channel banks and placing riprap along segments of the left and right banks of Mud Creek.
