Question Government response Document reference 1 Can we have a copy of the walk thru sign in sheet? No 2 How many footings are we to replace at the porches? How deep are they? Footings will no longer be replaced. SOW 2.6.7 3 Is there as builts of the existing buildings? If not, how many sq ft are bldgs. 100 and 400? Yes Attachment 9 - As-Builts

How many logs are we to replace? During the walk thru, it was difficult to tell how many were rotten. Can you give us a %? Up to 25% of logs from the bottom log to 4' up will be replaced as identified by COR/Contractor SOW 2.7.1

5 What is the wall structure on the inside of the log building? Unknown. Internal work on the log structure is outside the scope. SOW 2.7.1 6 Is a floor plan available for the bathroom in bldg. 611? Yes Attachment 9 - As-Builts 7 We identified 8-9 logs than need replaced. Is this concurrent with what you have seen? 25% of logs below 4 ft from the bottom log will be replaced as identified by COR SOW 2.7.1 8 Is the stick framed, log sided addition to be sanded and oiled? Stick framed addition to building 93 is outside the scope of log replacement/refinishing SOW 2.7.2

Does the chinking that has been applied need to be totally removed? It appears it was done recently and it is adhered very well. Removing it will be a problematic, time-consuming operation. If it is not loose, would going over it with new chinking be acceptable? Follow manufacturers installation instructions for new chinking. SOW 2.7.3

We have identified approximately 15-20 Sono-tubes that are in need of replacing. Does this number sound about right? Footings will no longer be replaced. SOW 2.6.7

Building 57 (Pilot Rock) has a major life safety issue (on the east side) with the steps that terminate at the door. Is a new 4’X5’ deck and stairs (that meet code) to be included in this bid? Yes SOW 2.6.1

12 Are the structural steel members/fittings on the decks and ADA ramps reusable, if rust has not compromised them? Assume all will need replacement SOW 2.6.8 13 The New ADA curb-less shower, is that a single 48” X 48”? See As-Builts for available dimensions statement of work paragraph 2.7.2. Strip: existing finish on logs Sea bolt Hall. Does this include interior and exterior, or just exterior (only). Exterior only. SOW 2.7.2

15 is it possible to arrange another site visit to view site conditions on a weekend. No more government led site visits are available

TOTAL SQUARE FOOT OF EACH BLDG. ( THE ACTUAL SQ. FT. OF ATTIC SPACE OF EACH BLDG)

Please see as-builts Attachment 9 - As-Builts

17 I would assume that all attic access covers will also need an attached R-38 fiberglass batt to these access covers. Yes SOW 2.6.9.

18 WHAT THE EXISTING R-VALUE IS IN THESE 2 BLDGS ( WHAT TYPE OF INSULATION AND HOW THICK IT IS) Unknown.

NO DETAILS IN SPECS ABOUT ANY "PREP" WORK, that may involve installing baffles in attic/eave areas to maintain eave ventilation so that the added insulation (upgrade) doesnt "block" what existing ventilation there is along the eave areas of these bldgs. And if there actually is any eave ventilation along the outside eave area soffit or bird screen Install cardboard baffles SOW 2.6.9.1

Also a concern about ( if we actually will be able to do this job) the scheduling of gaining access to these units pending Tennants permission to enter their unit to perform our services. If there are any delays resulting in extending our stay in SEWARD, could create a problem, I assume scheduling for us to do our services would be streamlined ahead of time and Tennants would be prepared to have us enter their units in the approx (2) days it should take to perform our services. Barring any"prep" work or unforseen , undetermined, preliminary work.

Coordination with the COR will ensure all units between offseason (Labor Day - Memorial Day) will have no access restrictions. If contractor wishes to preform work during peak season (Memorial Day - Labor Day), advanced coordination will be required and access is not guaranteed.

21 Is there a depth requirement for the 50% deck footings requirement? Footings will no longer be replaced. SOW 2.6.7 22 Is it possible to make additional site visits - i.e. insulation subcontractor to inspect attic accessibility, etc?
