Subject: Automatic Entry/Exit Doors at the Commissary

Period of Performance: 120 Days

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. General: This project requests installing automatic doors as detailed on the interior and exterior entry and exit doors at the commissary. The present configuration keeps the interior entry and exit doors propped open during business hours. This leaves the commissary subjected to cold drafts from outside.

1.1. The electricity can be powered down when arranged in advance. Coordinate with Edward Preston, 907-873-3114 (office), 907-616-1704 (cell), for electricity arrangements, for information on placement of equipment, and for information on scheduling work to prevent interference with operation of the commissary.

1.2. Electrical work shall comply with all applicable codes, including NFPA 70 and UFCs 3- 501-01, 3-520-01 and 3-530-01. Comply with all safety codes and policies while performing the work, including NFPA 70E and UFC 3-560-01. Doors shall comply with policies in the DeCA Design Criteria Handbook in the sections for sliding automatic entrance doors (DeCA 08 42 29.23) and UFC 4-010-01 in Appendix B Standards 10 and

12. Changes to the fire alarm system must comply with NFPA 72. All work will comply with Federal, State and Ft. Greely Environmental Regulations “which include waste management.” Additional DeCA Design Criteria and Guide Specifications referenced in this SOW can be found at decafacilities.com/decadesign .

1.3. All work shall be performed in a skillful and skilled craftsmen like manner to current applicable industry standards. Work requiring certified craftsmen shall be performed by certified personnel. Proof of certification, training or other qualifications shall be made available to the government upon request. The contractor shall pay all training and certification costs.

1.4. The contractor is responsible for quality control and shall establish and maintain an effective quality control system. The quality control system shall consist of plans, procedures and organization necessary to produce an end product that complies with the specified requirements. Contractors are responsible to follow said quality control plan.
