About this file

The file is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for Solicitation W912CH-24-R-0208, relating to a Special Purpose Electrical Cable Assembly procurement. The Q&A addresses a specific inquiry about first article testing specifications for the cable assembly, with the government indicating that test requirements are embedded in the print for the cable assembly and final testing will be a bench test to verify intended functionality.

The associated federal contract opportunity is a single one-time buy solicitation issued by the U.S. Army Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal, seeking to procure National Stock Number 6150-01-260-2747 (part number 9385014). The procurement is set aside exclusively for small businesses and involves a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a 100% option. Critical procurement requirements include obtaining Joint Certification Program (JCP) Export Control certification and requesting Technical Data Package (TDP) access through SAM.gov, with the TDP having a distribution code "D" limiting access to U.S. Government agencies and contractors. Potential vendors must submit signed offers via email to Contract Specialist Richard Hall by the specified date.

QuestionAnswer
first article testing spec of the top drawing is missing in the TDP package. Would you please email me the first article testing spec? No, its a DTL for the First Article Test, and any dimensional requirements, per drawings or specification requirements. The print for the cable assembly has all the test requirements on it, and the final test will be a bench test to make sure it works as intended. Instructions for the First Article Test can be found in Section E.2
