About this file

This file is a Q&A document for an Anchoring Device Solicitation issued by the Department of the Army. The solicitation (W912CH-24-R-0015-RFI) is for an Anchoring Device with NSN 1670-00-999-3544, categorized under NAICS Code 314999. The solicitation has undergone multiple amendments, extending the due date through multiple iterations - initially to October 31, 2025, then to December 1, 2025, and most recently to December 22, 2025.

The Q&A document reveals specific technical details, including a clarification about material specifications. Specifically, when CG 483 materials are used, the document indicates that FG 504 should be employed, with a potential Request for Variation (RFV) if not followed. The government declined to provide information about any incumbent contractor, suggesting vendors should conduct their own research on SAM.gov. The solicitation appears to be for a specific military anchoring device, with technical specifications that require careful adherence to prescribed material and color standards.

Sheet1

Q: Which date should we go with the one on Sam.gov or the solicitation due date?A:October 31, 2025 is the Due Date. This has been updated via the solicitation amendment.
Q: We would like to know if this is a brand new contract or if there was an incumbent performing these services?A: We cannot provide this information. A vendor can do a search by name on SAM.gov to find any previous information
Q: Is the FG504 color mandatory? The materials we typically handle are in CG483A: I can confirm that the spec conversion tables were provided as a supplemental document with the TDP, and there’s a clear statement in this supplemental document that indicates where CG 483 is specified that FG 504 should be used. If elected to produce with CG 483, I’d expect to see an RFV otherwise this would be inconsistent with direction provided in the supplemental document.
