1. The asbestos results show pipe elbow Maintenance Office/Break Room – pipe elbow area to be positive. Where is the elbow? No drawing or location has been given showing this elbow?

The survey results we provided did not test every single point where asbestos exists. It only tested single joints or elbows as representatives, and then all other joints and elbows were suspected of containing asbestos due to similar construction. A pre-bid visit would allow contractors to see what is required. Please schedule a site visit for more information

1. is there more there one elbow to be abate? If so, please provide exact quantity and location for each elbow to be abated.

There is more than one joint and elbow to abate. A site visit would allow the bidder to observe exact locations of these joints and elbows, and to determine quantity.

1. What size is this elbow?

The insulation, joints, and elbows are roughly 4” in diameter.

There may be more than one T to abate. A site visit would allow the bidder to determine locations and quantity.

1. The asbestos results show floor tile mastic Main Office – floor tile mastic to be positive. Where is this mastic located? How many square feet of mastic is to be abated?

Approximately 518 sq ft. located in the highlighted area labeled “Administration” in the Project Office As Built attachment.

1. How many layers of floor tile are to be removed to access the asbestos mastic?

One layer of floor tile exists

1. Are there any subfloors to demo to access the mastic?

There are no subfloors to access the mastic as the building is built on a concrete slab

1. Will the floor be free of any obstructions, movable item, cabinets and debris when abatement is to commence or do we have price in the clearing of the floor?

The building is empty and should be free of obstructions.

1. Will you provide 3rd party industrial Hygienist to perform air monitoring. Or will we need to bring one on and price that in our proposal?

No, Hygienist will be provided and it will be contractor’s responsibility for any monitoring.

1. Is water available on site?

There are no utilities available. Contractors will have to haul water if they need it.
