About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Responses for the Basin Mining Area Road Repair project in Basin, Montana, dated 4 June 2025. The RFI addresses several key questions from potential contractors, including bid bond requirements, project timeline, and cost estimates. Notably, no bid bond is required for quotation submission, but the winner must provide a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit. The project has a compressed timeline, requiring work to commence within 10 calendar days of the purchase order and be completed within 180 days.
The estimated project cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000, and it is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor. The project involves road repair services at the Basin Mining Area, specifically for Operable Units 5 and 6. Contractors are allowed to visit the site at their own convenience, and the project is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. The solicitation is being managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, with the primary NAICS code 237310 for Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction.
