About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal solicitation for fuel removal and storage tank inspection services at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point. The solicitation seeks to have the contractor perform fuel removal, transfer, or disposal of remaining fuel; replace wiper seals; provide strapping charts; clean the tank; and conduct an aboveground storage tank inspection or storage tank inspection on specified tanks at the location. The questions and answers indicate the inspection is an external one with no fuel being removed from the tanks, and that the contractor should use an example report attachment to document any inspection photos rather than actual photos being provided with the solicitation.

1) I just wanted to ask if you were aware that none of the pictures in the inspection report are attached. Is there a way that we can get a copy of the pictures? (see Att G in email)

ANSWER:

That is because ATT G is an example of the report that they should provide. The contractor should take the pictures and insert them into the example to create the report.

There are no reports for the Sunny Point tanks as the Sunny Point tanks are being inspected for the first time for DLA.

2) Is there any indication of our much residual fuel would need to be removed from each tank? Also is it to be relocated to other tanks onsite or taken off-site for recycling/disposal?

ANSWER:

Sunny Point is an STI external inspection with no fuel being removed.
