RFI # Question Response
3 Will the 2nd and 3rd Floor, be fully occupied, for the project duration ? Yes. Fully occupied.
Will the contractor need to maintain access thru the Main Entrance for these occupants thru-out the entire project ? This may not be possible at particular times.
Yes. Maintain access throughout the project, and keep fire exits clear.
I noted at the Pre-Bid Site Visit that there are items that may still need to be boxed and stored. Will the contractor be responsible for this, at the start of construction ?
No. Assume all property will be removed prior to starting construction.
I assume that anything left on the first floor, at the start of demolition will basically be the
Contractor’s Property.
Yes.
Spec. Section 007300 Appendix B, is there any other impact on this project, other than the contractor is to order Kaba Locksets ?
Awardee must comply with the contract.
There are 4 different roofing / waterproofing Specs. Located the Tile Roofing, the Modified
Bitumen and the Metal Roofing. However, can't seem to find where the Fluid-Applied
Roofing would go.
Fluid-applied roofing system is deleted in its entirety.
The fuel piping route on the drawings takes the fuel piping across the existing underground electrical ducts. Can the burial depths to the top and bottom of the electrical duct concrete jacket be provided?
Provide minmimum 36" cleartance between underground fuel piping and electrical ducts/conduit. Minimum 12" separation will be acceptable where electical duct are encased on concrete jacketing.
10 Please provide the desired Gallons Per Minute (gpm) flow rate for the day tank pumps. Day Tank pump information is indicated on sheet M-603.
11 Regarding the above subject up for bid; is the bid bond requirement 20%? Please advise See Am-0002, Section 00 21 16.
