VING - JISCC Garage Building

RFI Log - as of 8/16/16 Comment Number Question Jacobs Response

1 On sheet ES-001 show the feeder #2, from PR-1 panel to the MDP. Panel MDP are in the electric room which is on sheet E -111, please indicate where is located the MDP panel on sheet ES-001?

The MDP is located just above the label "MDP" on ES-001. Contractor will need to extend the conduit stub outs in the electrical room to the MDP per note 1.

2 Sheet ES-001 the feeder ends with a symbol showing a continuous pipeline to the

MDP panel, but I can’t see the location of the MDP panel on the drawings. There are no outputs of voice and data in the ET-111, but ET-501 shown the outlet for data and voice in the details and it seems that one of the schematic says typical are 4, please confirm.

See attached revised plan ET111 showing locations.

Please clarify concrete strength for the building components mentioned in spec

03 30 00-11. Sheet S-111 only specifies 5,000 psi for floors.

The compressive strength of concrete is provided in Concrete General Notes on Sheet

S001.

4 Could you please provide the make and model number of the Main Fire

AlarmPanel that we are tying into?

VIARNG to provide photo of Main Fire Alarm Panel including make and model number.

5 Could you pleaseprovide a picture of equipment and set up in RM A-138 and A-

126 to see what equipment set up looks like and in particularthe fiber patch panel they are using?

VIARNG to provide photo of equipment in Room A-138 and A-126.

6 Could you please provide a picture of the existing fiber patch racks? VIARNG to provide photo of existing fiber patch racks.

7 Could you please provide a schematic or picture of the path and or the stub ups of the 4" conduit from RM A-138 to RM A-126?

VIARNG to provide photo of stub ups for the 4" conduit from Room A-138 to Room A-126.

8 Is there a control company that provides the HVAC controls for the base. If yes can we get a contact number.

There is currently not a base wide HVAC controls system. Each building is controlled individually.

The fire alarm is being tied into an existing system. Who is the manufacture of the system. And is there a contact for the company that can certify the system.

VIARNG to provide photo of Main Fire Alarm Panel including make and model number.

There appears to be a telephone box in the ground where the building is going.

Who system is it. Is it fiber optics. And a contact number the owner of the line.

There are no as-built documents.

11 There are 3 utility manholes/access boxes that are located exactly where the proposed building is located will National Guard personnel remove or will contractor remove? There are no as-built documents.

12 Will there be a designated lay down area for material? If the parking lot adjacent to the storage is the utilized as the lay down will entire lot be accessible or only a portion?

The area that is designated as "Existing MV Parking" to the West of the proposed JISCC

Garage Building will be available for laydown.

As per the site visit the proposed location is already compacted will testing be provided to confirm?

The subgrade will need to be prepared in accordance with the Geotechnical Report -which includes fill and compaction. If this has already been accomplished, the newly distrubed areas below the new garage structure will require hand operated compaction methods and testing to confirm proper compaction as defined in the Geotechnical Report

(i.e., 95% of Modified Proctor).

14 The structure as per drawings is constructed adjoining the sidewalk however the sidewalk has bollards with lights are these solar or is there underground electrical to be worried about?

There are existing underground circuits feeding the bollards. Refer to JFHQ as-builts.

Contractor shall field locate the existing circuits prior to any excavation.

What will the limit of the disturbance be for the site? The disturbed area is limited to 5 feet beyond the footprint of the building - enough to dig the building foundations and install bollards. See Foundation Plan on Detail A1/S-111.
