INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCHEDULING VISITS

Every visit/tour to non‐public areas of the Bonneville Project must be coordinated through a Bonneville POC.

Exception: Non‐Bonneville personnel with current Bonneville badges on file are not required to follow this process, provided they notify Bonneville Security and their POC, and are not accompanied by other visitors.

To avoid missed connections, gather day of visit contact information for visitors, POC, and escorts.

Distribute the completed form, with day of visit contact information, as noted at bottom of page 1.

Please arrange to meet your visitors at the Security Office.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VISITORS

All visitors to non‐public operating areas of the Bonneville Project must wear closed toe shoes (tennis shoes are OK) and long pants (no dresses or shorts).

Weapons of any kind are not permitted between the Oregon and Washington guard gates.

Visitors are not permitted to take photos inside either Powerhouse. Exception: Photos are permitted if taken from designated visitor galleries.

Upon arrival at the Bonneville Project, all members of the escorted group must report to the Security Office to obtain visitor badges and hard hats, unless the tour takes place outside of operating hours, AND the visit/tour POC has made prior arrangements with the Security Specialist or Security Office.

Directions to Bonneville Security Office: Approaching on I‐84, take exit 40 and turn north. Drive under the railroad viaduct, onto the Project roadway. The Security Office is in the Auditorium, the first building you will see as you enter the Project. Park in the lot on your left.

Each adult visitor must present a CAC, TWIC, or other valid photo ID. Personally Identifiable Information will not be recorded.

Visitors must wear hard hats and Project security badges at all times while in non‐public areas of the Project.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ESCORTS

If the visit/tour is held outside of Security Office operating hours (M‐F 0730‐1530), the tour POC and/or lead escort is responsible for checking IDs of all adult visitors. To document that the IDs have been checked, record the type of ID (NOT the actual ID#) and the expiration date on the Daily Visitor Log/Powerhouse Access Log.

If conducting the visit/tour outside of normal operating hours, the POC and/or lead escort must contact the Control Room Operator (ext 2221 from Project phones, 541‐374‐8338 from outside lines) before entering any non‐public areas of the Project.

The escorting employees are responsible for the safety of the visitors. Do not allow them to touch any equipment or enter any unsafe areas.

If the escorted group enters either Powerhouse, or any other building secured with card readers, ALL members of the escorted group (INCLUDING ALL ESCORTS) must present badges at the card reader upon entry AND EXIT from the building. As an alternative, the escorting employee(s) may document on the Daily Visitor Log/PH Access Log each area visited, and the time of entry and exit from each area.

While inside the Powerhouse, the escorting employee must keep all visitors within line of sight at all times, except during bathroom breaks.

If the escorted group splits up while inside either Powerhouse, each subgroup must maintain the minimum 10 to 1 escort ratio (4 to 1 for contractors).

If a visit to the Control Room has been authorized, the primary escort must contact the Control Room Operator (ext 2221 from Project phones, 541‐374‐8338 from outside lines) before proceeding to the Control Room. If the Control Room Operator has an urgent or emergency situation, you may be advised to wait a while, or possibly skip the Control Room entirely.

All security items (badges, hard hats, Daily Visitor Log/PH Access Log, etc.) must be returned to the Bonneville Security Office on conclusion of the visit/tour. If the visit/tour is conducted outside of Security Office operating hours, the POC must return all security items to the Security Office on the next work day.
