About this file

This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, regarding a brand name specification for Beacon Medaes medical gas compressors and related components at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Maryland. The Government intends to specify Beacon Medaes as a brand name in Operation & Maintenance with incidental Repair and Minor Construction contracts anticipated during Fiscal Years 2027 through 2028 for various projects in the Bethesda area. The Government is conducting a market survey to identify alternative sources capable of meeting the same requirements. Responses must be submitted by June 32, 2026 (likely a typographical error in the document) at 2:00 PM CST via email to contacts listed on SAM.gov.

Interested firms must provide manufacturer's name, product data, written compliance statements with supporting design information and documentation, and a list of similar projects where equipment has been successfully applied, including project locations and points of contact with phone numbers. The NOI explicitly states that Beacon Medaes equipment application is essential to meeting Government requirements due to warranty considerations—repairs by non-Beacon Medaes technicians or use of third-party components void the warranty. Firms should note that the Government will not compensate for or return materials submitted in response to this notice, responses must be submitted via email only, and this notice is for information purposes and does not constitute a request for proposal or solicitation mailing list placement.

Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all information received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
