About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document regarding the 2025 Army Raider 2nd Round contract opportunity, containing seven contractor questions with corresponding government responses about event timing displays and technical requirements.
The Q&A addresses key technical specifications and operational requirements for the Army Raider event. Contractors must provide minimum 20-inch screens for displays at each site. The government clarified that display monitors are not necessary for One Rope Bridge or Battle Fit events, as these events lack digital timing systems and use analog scoring methods with floating scoresheets. For the Ultimate Raider event, the government confirmed it is now a continuous course rather than a two-stage event, requiring display times only at the finish line. The government will provide WiFi infrastructure through multiple methods including Verizon MiFi pucks, Verizon trailers, and Starlink capability at digital locations. The responses also address logistical challenges such as personnel positioning restrictions at the Rope Bridge site and the simultaneous operation of 3-4 sets of poles, emphasizing that displays would serve no practical purpose since judges are the only personnel who would see analog time displays.

QUESTIONS REGARDING 2025 ARMY RAIDER 2nd Round
1.Need size of the monitors showing display at each site. Minimum 20” screens
2.Need to either adjust time need (within 1 hour) for leader board display from Rope Bridge OR adjust with more personnel to be at the Rope Bridge site to capture data there (2 personnel added). The displays are not necessary for One Rope Bridge or Battle Fit
3.Are Rope Bridge and Battle Fit events expected to have a display of times? No
4.There are no digital times for these events so what would this display show? The displays are not necessary for One Rope Bridge or Battle Fit
5.ForRope Bridge there 3-4 sets of poles running simultaneously so how would that be displayed? Simply typing in analog times to display them? The displays are not necessary for One Rope Bridge or Battle Fit
Also, historically, Rope Bridge site was not allowing instructors on the side of the event where the scoresheets are, which would have to be where the display is, so who would be seeing this analog time displayed because the team itself will be on the other side of the field once the time is done. Literally no one there to see it but the judges. The displays are not necessary for One Rope Bridge or Battle Fit
6.Battle Fit is an event with 3 sets of data captured on floating scoresheets that move from place to place and would not the ability to display anything.
Will Ultimate Raider have any expectation of showing some digital result onsite on a monitor? This event has two legs. Would need to know if a display is needed for each finish line. The displays are not necessary for One Rope Bridge or Battle Fit. The Ultimate Raider is NO LONGER a 2-stage event. It is now a continuous course. Display times will need to be displayed at the finish line for Ultimate Raider.
7.Will WI-FI infrastructure be provided at each digital location? WiFi will be provided in the form of Verizon MiFi pucks, Verizon trailer and Starlink capability.
