About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for an Access Control System Maintenance contract (Solicitation W9124C25QA011) for Buildings 10100 and 10098 at Fort Jackson, SC. The Q&A provides detailed technical information about the existing access control infrastructure, including 15 total doors across two buildings, an RS2 Technologies Access Control System with AiPhone integration, and current system components such as 14 HID PIV Class Keypad Readers, 22 Securitron magnetic locks, and 11 indoor motion sensors. The system is currently maintained by Signal Technologies and was installed around May 2024, with equipment purchased under a previous contract (W9124C22P0009).

Key technical details include the system being a standalone, non-networked setup located in Building 10098, Room #160, with a fiber connection between buildings. The government seeks maintenance support without a full system replacement, with dealer support preferred. The access control system includes intercom and door release capabilities, and is not currently compliant with HSPD12 requirements. The government will continue using the existing solution, with the contractor expected to service and potentially replace individual components as needed. The system covers various entrance points including administrative, classroom, and command group areas across both buildings.
