W9123722B0004 – Questions and Answers
1. Spec Section 01 11 00 paragraph 1.3.1.3 General Project Features- DELAWARE, item h. Delaware Gate number 3- Trunnion Girder Support Column.
0. This paragraph only calls out the Gate #3 Trunnion Girder Support Column at Pier #4 to be repaired with grout. Additionally, contract drawing S-803, photo 5 shows the Gate #3 Trunnion Girder Support Column. My question is, on the Option 2, Option 3, and Option 4 Bid Schedules, there is a bid item (40, 54, and 68) labeled Trunnion Girder Support Column. Bid Item 54 is for Gate #3, but should Bid Items #40 and 68 be deleted, since they are for Gates 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6?
Response: Trunnion Girder Support Column to be repaired with grout only at pier #4, Gate 3.
1. Spec Section 01 45 00.00 10, paragraph 3.4.2 CQC System Manager.
1. This section requires the CQC System manager to be a construction engineer with 10 years experience and registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia. Why would we need a Virginia registered PE if the project site is in the state of Ohio?
Response: This is a typo. The PE registration should be in Ohio.
