Repair and/or rehabilitation of shoreline stabilization structures that are equal to or greater than 48 feet from the shoreline may require time of year restrictions subject to regulatory permits as determined by the Contracting Officer."

Response to Bidder Inquiry: Nesting species at CIDMMA have the potential to create delays during nesting season. Delays could include: having to take alternate routes around CIDMMA due to road closures, potential relocation of equipment out of nesting areas, working with environmental staff if nesting occurs within the construction area, and potential project delays if nesting species nest within the construction site. We are not permitted to relocate, take, or disturb nests at CIDMMA. Historically, the area surrounding the CIDMMA bulkhead has not been a location for nesting species. Nesting species typically prefer mud and or sand/shelled substrate to nest. However, they do nest throughout CIDMMA during nesting season. Closures are marked with signs and/or communicated through the Contracting Officer. The time of year restrictions for stabilization structures located equal to or greater than 48 feet from the shoreline are pertaining to anadromous fish and only applies for structures 48 feet or more from the shoreline.
