This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for janitorial services. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District is seeking custodial services for its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters building encompassing approximately 90,000 square feet across four floors. The amendment extends the proposal due date to August 14, 2020 and provides responses to bidder questions. Services required include daily cleaning of restrooms, floors, windows, break areas and common spaces as well as weekly dusting, vacuuming and mopping. Annual deep cleaning includes carpet shampooing and exterior window washing. The government estimates floor types as 50% hard and 50% carpeted on the first floor and approximately 5% hard and 95% carpet on the second through fourth floors. Bidders must use their own equipment but the government will provide on-site storage and vacuums. The base period is one year with four optional one-year extensions, for a potential five-year contract period.
