About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity related to furniture replacement for the Utah Army National Guard. The Q&A addresses specific details about furniture requirements, including L-shaped desks (with height-adjustable monitor mounting in select rooms), under-desk storage (2-3 drawer cabinets), overhead storage matching desk size, monitor arms, desk bridges for multi-workstation offices, and chair specifications.

The Q&A provides clarification on different types of chairs, distinguishing between fully adjustable rolling office chairs and non-adjustable rolling waiting room chairs. For guest chairs, the requirement is for dark-colored wood or laminate matching the desk and office furniture. The document also includes a brief response about outdoor furniture, specifying a preference for durable, waterproof, and weather-resistant materials like metal and vinyl, with an explicit avoidance of cloth materials.

Text version

Q: The L shaped desk are they height adj per the drawing?

A; This would be preferred, however not entirely necessary. The portion of the workstation where the monitors mount needs to be height adjustable; only in the rooms where the drawings specify this requirement.

Q: What type of under storage are you requesting ie lateral file,ff or bbf ?

A: We just need a 2-3 drawer storage cabinet that fits under the desks.

Q: The overhead storage are you requesting matching size with the desk?

A: Yes.

Q:Do you want dual or single monitor arms?

A: Already answered on previous poste Q and A.

Q: Some of the desks seems to be bridges joining 2 desk so please clarify.

A; The offices that have multiple workstations will need bridges between the desks to increase working area. These can be freestanding or mounted to the wall.

Q: What is the difference between rolling office chair and rolling chair.. pictures would help if any.

A: Rolling office chair should be fully adjustable according to the spec request.

Rolling Chair should be a non-adjustable waiting room chair with wheels. Example photo attached.

Q: Guest chair are you looking for wooden or metal frame?

A: The guest waiting chairs should be the same material and color as the desk and other office furniture. I believe the ones you are referring to would be a dark colored wood or laminate.

Q: Can you please be more specific on the outdoor furniture..image or BOD would help.

A: Examples of outdoor furniture are attached. The requirement is that this furniture is made with durable, waterproof, and weather-resistant material that will not require removal for cleaning. We do not want cloth for this portion. Metal and vinyl types of materials are preferred.
