About this file

This document is a Q&A response addressing furniture quantity and drawing requirements for a federal contract. The response clarifies that the quantity per Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) represents the expected number of pieces per room, with each piece requiring an individual price. The contracting agency wants general layout drawings showing how furniture will fit within provided dimensions, along with detailed product specifications including brand, model, warranties, and materials.

Additional key instructions include consolidating pricing for identical products across multiple rooms and referencing specific attachments: the RTI Furniture Requirements and RTI Chair Examples documents. A specific note mentions that the amendment and drawings are missing a sofa for building 303, room 101, and directs respondents to verify they are using the correct 1449 form and RTI Furniture Drawings. Respondents are advised to review the attachments carefully, particularly the lectern photo located on the last page of the RTI Chair Examples document.

Text version

Q: A question was submitted regarding the quantities and drawings.

A: The quantity shown per CLIN is the number of pieces we expect to see per room; it was revised this way to match the pages on the drawings to the1449 (i.e. page one of the drawings will be CLIN 0001 on the 1449, etc.). Each piece should show its own price. We are anticipating many CLINS on the contract. If there are identical products across multiple rooms it would be best to consolidate on the price quote.

We don’t necessarily need to see highly detailed drawings. We want to see a general layout;

basically, how the products will fit within the dimensions we’ve provided and a description for the brand/model/etc. of the furniture pieces going into the space. We do want detail in the specifications of the products (brand, model, warranties, materials, etc.)

Additional Furniture Information:

The amendment and the drawings do not have a sofa for bldg. 303 room 101. Please ensure you are viewing the correct 1449 and the RTI Furniture Drawings.

The RTI Furniture Requirements attachment and RTI Chair examples attachment provide specific details, and the lectern photo is the last page of the RTI Chair Examples document.
