1. “Microfilm cartridges” Are these open reels or true cartridges? If cartridges, what manufacture?

Answer: cartridges are 3M

2. What generation is the microfilm in these cartridges?

Answer: unknown

3. What records management system will these documents be accessed by?

Answer: yet to be determined

4. Just by format, by converting the source microfilm cartridge into one (1) multi page Searchable PDF-A file on a disk, this file will be extremely large. Approximately 3700 images per file will make the file size 3 Gb +/-, which translates into quite a load on any network unless the records management system has a way of handling the individual images. What compression algorithm is requested?

Answer: as defined by ISO 19005-1:2005.

Is the microfilm 16mm or 35mm also what is the length 100ft or 215ft

Answer: microfilm is 16mm

If the film is 35mm the length has to be 100ft please confirm.

Answer: 215 ft
