About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document from a site visit for solicitation W911SG-25-Q-A007 for Satellite Television Services at Fort Bliss, covering two buildings housing Japanese Forces. The document addresses technical specifications and current setup details for 140 satellite television receivers across two buildings (Building 1008 with 61 TVs and Building 1009 with 79 TVs).

The services require new equipment including satellite receivers, multi-switches with power supplies, and coaxial cable infrastructure. The current provider is Gila Satellite Systems, with a contract running through April 30, 2025. Building 1008 is a 3-story structure with stacked utility closets, while Building 1009 is a 4-story building (including basement) with external cable distribution points. All rooms currently have TVs and active service, though the existing receivers and equipment belong to the current contractor and will need to be replaced. The government owns the TV mounts and power strips, but new receivers and associated equipment must be provided by the winning contractor.
