About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a solicitation seeking two 30K telescopic forklifts for Fort Irwin/National Training Center in California. The document clarifies that the forklifts must be 4x4 equipped, and the vendor is responsible for providing DEF fluid upon delivery to ensure the forklifts are 100% operable.
The document addresses delivery logistics, confirming that both forklifts can be delivered on the same day despite different performance period dates, subject to coordination with the COR. It also clarifies that the delivery location is Fort Irwin/NTC, CA 92310, resolving confusion about a Fort Bliss, TX address that appeared in the solicitation. The associated solicitation requires the forklifts to be diesel-powered, capable of withstanding 70 mph wind gusts and rough desert terrain, and includes requirements for safety features such as 10lb fire extinguishers, warning triangles, and proper regulatory markings including ARB numbers.
