4. Do existing Ebtron Airflow Measure Stations on AHU-1 and AHU-2 need to be REPLACED?
Yes, Added to Revised SOW 1.4.2.2
5. DO existing Pressure Sensors for AHU-1 and AHU-2 need to be REPLACED? Yes, Added to Revised SOW 1.4.2.2
6. There are multiple Building Entrances, how many HVAC Emergency Stop Stations are REQUIRED? - Only one shall be installed at main entrance. Revised in SOW 1.4.2.2
7. Please confirm it is acceptable to connect to the existing double wall vent in the mechanical space with the new exhaust – The SOW has been changed to include all flue, through the second floor chase and out the roof.
8. Is it acceptable to reuse the existing wire for the DDC in the event the wire needs to be replaced the contractor will replace at their own cost as needed? This will eliminate longer shut down periods for the user. A new LON communication wire shall be installed.
Existing wire to sensors maybe reused at contractors risk.
9. No CO2 detector is in the mechanical space, should one be added to appease the WA state boiler inspector? Added to SOW and Attachment #1
10.The existing gas meter AL-1000 1000CF @ ½”DIF and regulator S202 5”-9” WC calculations indicate this is right at the cusp of allowable CF to serve the new 500MBH boiler and water heater. Should a new meter be installed to 2 PSI and use drop down regulators at the new and existing equipment or should the gas line be upsized to 2 ½” from the meter to the equipment? Existing meter and piping shall remain.
11.Based on the contract durations 150 calendar days to complete the work appears to be light based on today’s market of materials. A few factors we are looking at are as followed If contract award is early as July 2021, that would place the BOD in December of 2021.
Given the lead time for the boiler and time of the year the work will take place will temporary heat be required? Would it be acceptable to complete CLIN001 with the use of temporary heat BOD the new boiler for CLIN001 then perform CLIN002 work while the new boiler is heating the building. Given some portions or all of the building would be impacted while altering the DDC valves. A portion of CLIN002 work could once CLIN001 and CLIN002 are 100% complete then perform CLIN003 and CLIN002. We would require warmer day’s to re-balance and PVT the chilled portion unless it is acceptable to do these task in the colder months. Period of performance has been changed in the SOW to 360 days. Contractor may phase the work as required based on inside building air temperature. Performance period does allow time for warmer temperatures. One of the existing boilers maybe used as a temporary boiler until the new boiler can be installed.
