STATEMENT OF WORK
Revised 16 Aug 2018
Project Title: Guttering of Historians Office, Headquarters, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Building 661 Fort Eustis, VA, Document Date: 11 July 2018
Objective: Install a water deflective system with integrated Cap and guttering.
Tasks/Scientific Goals: Installation of a water deflection system with integrated Cap and guttering on an existing 30-carriage mobile mechanical shelving unit located in three separate locations with the TRADOC Historian’s office area. The storage units store significant historical document archives and artifacts. The shelving units are located under sprinkler heads throughout the space, as well as being prone to damage resulting from unanticipated mechanical failure of drainage pumps and associated water piping connected to overhead air handler units (DAHUs).
The installed system must provide complete protection from water infiltration from the risks identified in the preceding paragraph. Water channeling is required in order to ensure that all water consistently flows away from historical documents and other sensitive artifacts within the mobile shelving system.
Installation must be provided by authorized installers of water deflection systems for mobile mechanical shelving units.
Spacesaver Storage Solutions installed the original mechanical shelving system that stores the historical archives for TRADOC.
The installer will have access to a B661 loading dock for offloading of material. The Government shall move material from the shelves if requested by the installer. The installer shall leave the work area clean and dispose of residual scrap.
