About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing contractor inquiries regarding a vertical lift system installation project. The Government has clarified critical specifications and requirements for bidding purposes.

Unit dimensions must strictly conform to the specification of 133.07" (+/-2") wide by 120.98" (+/-2") deep; larger units such as the Modula MXD model (138.46" x 124.61") are unacceptable due to forklift traffic constraints. Tray compartment sizes, partitions, and dividers are detailed in the Statement of Work and cannot be priced without this information. A site visit has been conducted to verify floor load ratings and ceiling clearance. The Government confirms no known hazardous materials are present in existing systems scheduled for demolition. Contractors are responsible for ensuring systems connect to current electrical outlets and are fully operational; work hours are restricted to 0800-1500. Training must accommodate 5-10 personnel per unit. An accelerated construction schedule is acceptable provided all requirements are met, though the baseline expectation is 112-126 days. All shop drawings, specifications, and installation plans must be included with the quote for Government review. The five-year warranty covers only on-call corrective maintenance support; preventative maintenance is excluded from the base price. Contractors must provide final documentation demonstrating system hookup and operational capability.
