About this file

The document is a Questions and Answers file (Attachment 0004) for Solicitation W911QY25RA017, addressing vendor inquiries about the All-Purpose Personal Protective Equipment Modernization (AP-PPE Mod) contract. The key questions raised include seeking government patterns for costing assistance and noting the initial absence of Sections D (Packaging and Marking) and H (Special Contract Requirements) in the solicitation.

The solicitation, issued by the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Division, requires the production, packaging, and delivery of up to 26,000 AP-PPE Mod ensembles in various sizes. Vendors or their subcontractors must obtain W. L. Gore certification to work with the government-furnished Gore materials. A formal amendment on 17 July 2025 updated the Statement of Work to include packaging and marking requirements, and the final date for submitting questions was 22 July 2025. The contract requires vendors to propose a single price for all 12 ensemble sizes.

QuestionGovernment Response
Regarding the subject solicitation, are there government patterns available to review to assist in costing? The patterns specified within the purchase description. The vendor is expected to propose one price for all 12 sizes.
Section D, PACKAGING AND MARKING and H, SPECIAL CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS were omitted from the solicitation. Wondering if that was done purposely? I’m assuming we’ll need to know how items are to be packaged to develop pricing. This information is in the PD provided.
