About this file

This file contains responses to industry questions regarding Solicitation W911QX26QA123, a 100% small business set-aside for a single girder underhung bridge crane issued by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground. The solicitation seeks a single girder underhung bridge crane with a chain hoist (updated from the original wire rope hoist specification in Amendment 0002). Specific technical requirements including capacity, span, voltage, and minimum lift height are provided in the associated Salient Characteristics document. Bidders must submit engineered and certified drawings that meet OSHA load testing requirements; submission of an approval drawing alone is insufficient.

Key procurement constraints include a mandatory one-week installation timeline and a lead time requirement of 12 weeks or less, making longer lead times unacceptable. Site visits will not be offered to assess the installation environment. No drawings were available at the time of the Q&A response. The original submission deadline was extended to August 7, 2026, via Amendment 0002, which also addressed the hoist specification change and posted industry questions and responses. All other terms and conditions of the base solicitation remain unchanged. This file functions as a Q&A document and does not serve as a template or appendix.
