About this file

This is an amendment to a solicitation for a NBC Component Test Stand. The amendment provides an updated statement of work to include training and manual requirements. It also answers six questions from industry. Only five valves listed in the statement of work will be tested on the machine. Test procedures are provided in the statement of work. No other valves or items will be tested. Dielectric strength and insulation resistance testing are not required to be performed by the test stand. The amendment identifies the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal as the agency. It does not provide a response date.

AMENDMENT 1 NOTES

1. The purpose of this amendment is to post an updated Statement of Work (SOW) and answers to Indsutry Questions. The SOW has been amended to include training and manual requirements.

2. Industry Question answers are as follows:

Question 1:

Attachment 1, the Statement of Work lists the following items to be tested:

Paragraph 7.8.1 Prioritization Regulating Valve P/N 12336875-1 Paragraph 7.8.2 Pressure Regulating Valve P/N 12336770-1 Paragraph 7.8.3 Anti-Ice Valve P/N 12336774 Paragraph 7.8.4 Temperature Valve P/N 12336775 Paragraph 7.8.5 Anti-Ice Servo Valve P/N 12336776

Are these the only part numbers/Valves to be tested on the test stand?

ANSWER: the five valves listed are the only components that will be tested on this machine.

Question 2:

If these are the only valves to be tested on the test stand, can you provide the DMWR,NMWR, and/or Technical Orders that have the applicable test procedures for these valves. These will help us properly size the test stand components and estimate the amount of software/programming required based on the relative complexity of the test procedures.

ANSWER: The DMWR has a distribution statement that does not allow release outside government use. The test procedures required are included in the SOW.

Question 3:

If there are other valves or items to be tested on the test stand can you also provide the applicable test procedures for those items.

ANSWER: No other valves will be tested.

Question 4: :

Is the test stand required to perform the Dielectric strength testing and the Insulation Resistance Testing?

ANSWER: No

Question 5:

If the test stand is required to perform the above dielectric strength and Insulation Resistance testing, is it sufficient for us to provide the meters/instruments and the test would be performed manually by the test operator. Or does that testing need to be automated as well?

ANSWER: N/A

Question 6: Current model numbers for the National Instruments (NI) chassis in the current NBC test stand:

PXI-1033

PXI-6254

PXI-6511

PXI-6704

PXI-GPIB
