About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) record for Project AD211365J, addressing Requests for Information (RFIs) submitted by contractors after a site visit on March 5, 2026 for the repair of Barracks Buildings No. 29008, 29009, 29010, and 29026.

The scope of work encompasses multiple repair and renovation tasks across the four barracks buildings. Door hardware replacements are limited to two specific doors: room 232 entry door (Best IDH swipe key card) and room 533 closet door (Best 9k series keyless). For flooring and finishes, contractors must replace approximately 25 square feet of VCT floor tiles in room 213 of building 29008, with the additional footage allocated for post-move damage. Cove base replacement totals approximately 25 linear feet across rooms 432 and 632 in building 29008. Counter top repair requirements have been removed from scope. Machine grout cleaning is required in the community laundry room in building 29026 (approximately 1,500 SF) and in laundry rooms within each barracks building (approximately 625 SF each). Wall repair in the male latrine has been removed as it was completed by DPW maintenance. Painting includes one coat applied to all suites, hallways, stairwells, and laundry rooms in buildings 29008, 29009, and 29010, excluding door painting. LED lighting replacements are limited to fixtures specifically called out in the drawings (pages E-101), hallway lighting, and laundry area lighting. Mold abatement requires visible mold cleaning and surface wiping in rooms 124, 722, 231, and 233 in building 29008, plus all suites and hallways throughout the three barracks, with HVAC ductwork cleaning extending to air handler units, attic ductwork, FCU mechanical closets, and DOAS units. Building 29026 requires replacement of exterior doors with double store front doors on the east side and a single store front door on the west side, plus lighting and HVAC grille replacements. The period of performance is 150 calendar days, with buildings remaining unoccupied during work and the contractor responsible for furniture movement. Buildings will be cleaned to "like new" condition, including all areas, prior to final inspection.
