9/14/2020 Contractor Question:
Can you please tell me what type of fluid is to be used in these units?
Government Response:
Hydraulic oil used is DTE-25.
9/15/2020 Contractor Question:
Learning that the elevation at Tooele is 5,043 feet, we will need to use flooded suction which will impact the footprint.
Not running out of footprint space until we consider the heat removal of the cooler. Our standard is 40% of the input HP. In this case we would remove 16 HP and that results in a large cooler and challenges the footprint allowance.
In order to optimize the air cooler size, please reply with the duty cycle of the operation: continuous or "on" some percentage of the time. Also what is the highest ambient room temperature?
Government Response:
The unit will run continuous. These units will be fielded worldwide. Sea level to potentially elevations higher then Tooele. These units also could experience a wide range of temperatures. Most will be operating outdoors. Anywhere from Alaska to El Paso Texas or the Middle East. We recommend that they be placed in at least a covered area but it's not mandatory.
9/16/2020 Contractor Question:
When it says turnkey does that mean you want the power unit installed?
Government Response:
Turn-key means unit has been run and tested, ready to install.
9/16/2020 Contractor Question:
Since the customer provided part numbers for the flow dividers and the directional valve with the wording "SAME AS EXISTING UNITS". Is it possible that they have a model number for the cooler too? We may have sized a cooler that requires more oil than that is left after the flow is divided twice. Please request the cooler make and model that they have used on the existing units.
Government Response:
Additional Part Numbers are not available.
9/21/2020 Contractor Question:
Does the Bucher directional control valve get mounted to the power unit or is shipped loose for customer mounting to the machine?
Government Response:
All controls etc. are mounted to the power unit.
9/21/2020 Contractor Question:
Are additional pictures or drawings available?
Government Response:
All drawings available have been provided through the beta.sam portal.
