A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. (a) As part of price evaluation, the Government will evaluate its option to extend services (FAR Clause 52.217-8 - Option to Extend Services) by adding one-half of the Offeror’s final option period prices to the Offeror’s total price.
Thus, the Offeror’s total price for the purpose of evaluation will include the base period, 1st option, 2nd option, 3rd option, 4th option, and one-half of the 4th option. Offerors are required only to price the base and four (4) options.
