· The objective of breaking out the phases like this is to limit downtime associated with this project. While one aisle is being upgraded, the other aisles shall remain functional so that RIA personnel can continue with their day to day work. In addition to compliance with the RIPD, RIA asks that the vendor makes a compliance statement with the Timeline of Deliveries. Equipment Testing/Runtime sequences are allotted so that while the upgraded aisle is being ran, RIA personnel can replace any parts that were removed from that aisle prior to work starting, as well as start pulling material/parts from the next aisle to be worked on. This is to ensure that there will be no work stoppages due to unavailable parts/material during the duration of aisle downtime. RIA understands that whole system “restarts/shut downs” may need to occur during completion of this project, however these should be only during necessary circumstances and kept to a minimum number of occurances.
