1. Question: The 3M goggles does not have a part number. The proposed part number based off the description is 70071542693. Can we get additional information on this or will the part number suggested by 3M, based off the description be sufficient?
GOGGLES, INDUSTRIAL: PLASTIC FRAME; CLEAR PLASTIC LENS; ANTI-FOG
LENS COATING
EA
3M PPE SAFETY SOLUTIONS
3M SPLASH GOGGLEGEAR
76381
LINE ITEM 84 - C4
Response: The 3M Maxim Safety Splash Goggle with the 3M ID “70071542693” are an acceptable substitution. The 3M Lexa Splash Goggle gear goggles listed in the drawing have a 3M ID: 70071542503.
2. The description calls for the locks to be keyed alike. The part number is for locks that are not keyed alike. Which one does the end user want?
PADLOCK; SOLID BODY, KEYED ALIKE, 1-3/4 INCH WIDTH X 3/4 INCH
DEPTH; 5/16 INCH X 3/4 INCH HARDENED STEEL SHACKLE, 1-1/8 INCH
SHACKLE CLEARANCE
EA
AMERICAN LOCK
A5200GLN
22107
LINE ITEM 85 - B1
Response: These locks shall be keyed alike. The part number of A5200GLN is for a single “base model.” There are several options for ordering a keyed alike set of 10. One option is order number A5200GLN KA 10 which will give 20 keys. A minimum of 20 keys is required.
3. The part number for this is incorrect and one is not supplied. Is it safe to assume we can proceed based on the description and what the manufacture recommends?
POUCH: FOR MASONRY DRILL SET
EA
C. H. ELLIS
1954474
97200
LINE ITEM 85 - B2
POUCH: FOR WOOD BORING BIT SET
EA
C. H. ELLIS
97200
LINE ITEM 85 - B2
Response: The main requirement for these pouches is that they need to be sized to fit the required bits. It is the offeror’s responsibility to provide pouches that fit the GFE items and fit within the required area of the drawer.
The spade bit kit, line item 24 in the tool load, may be contained in a quantity of one or two tool bit pouches. The picture on page 20 shows two pouches containing the spade bit kit. This is acceptable. A single pouch containing the entire spade bit kit would also be acceptable.
Note that the masonry bit kit, line item 23 in the tool load, also requires storage in a separate pouch. Therefore, a total of two or three pouches to contain the masonry and spade bits will be acceptable.
