About this file
This document outlines requirements for a laser engraver through an initial specification and two subsequent amendments. The key specifications include a tabletop or portable device with a minimum 12" x 18" working surface and 6" height, utilizing a fiber-type laser that operates on 110/120-volt power and has Windows-compatible operating software. The critical technical requirement is the ability to etch, engrave, and mark various metals including steel, stainless steel, chrome plated steel, titanium, and aluminum without additional surface preparation materials.
The amendments preserve the core requirements while removing specific references like "laser power up to 40 watt" and a mention of a specific model (GCC C180II Desktop Laser Engraver). The document appears to be a draft specification for procurement, systematically refining the technical requirements for a laser engraving device suitable for metalwork, with an emphasis on versatility and ease of use across different metal surfaces.
