Text version
The UPS is an APC MGE Galaxy 5000. The UPS is located in a separate room from the battery racks. All wiring is in place between the battery racks and the UPS. The rooms are located adjacent to each other.
Here are the placards located within the UPS providing details on the make and model.
The batteries are located in a room adjacent to the UPS. There are 3 cabinets that are wired to interface directly with the UPS in the next room.
Each cabinet has 36 batteries in three shelves.
Shown is the placard for the battery cabinets.
The vendor will need to remove the old batteries and install the new batteries.
The current condition of the batteries had required the UPS to be on bypass without any battery service. All batteries can be removed and reinstalled without a change in the UPS status.
The Battery room is located adjacent to the UPS room. There is a cinder block wall between them with 4 inch metallic conduit (not sure if IMC or GRC) connecting the Battery cabinets to the UPS.
The battery room has one 36 inch door. There is a 7 inch ledge to cross at the door when removing old batteries and installing new.
