INFORMATION REQUESTED

1. Could you please provide a Fire Alarm/Suppression Inspection Report for each building?

2. Could you please provide the last Annual Maintenance Schedule?

3. Could you please provide a quantity of the historical Routine, Urgent, and Emergency Service for at least 12 months?

4. Do all of the buildings with the status "Out of Service" require preventive maintenance?

5. There are buildings listed several times on the location chart in the technical exhibit. Each time these buildings are listed, does this indicate duplication of the quantities of a system for those buildings? Please advise

6. Technical Exhibit 2J requires replacing all nozzles in the water mist area every 20 years. What is the installation date or the last nozzle replacement date? What are the nozzles' quantities?

7. Technical Exhibit 2M, 2N, 2R, 2S, 2T, requires replacing all Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors every ten years and Smoke

Detectors every 20 years. When were the CO and Smoke detectors replaced? What is the quantity of all the detectors installed?

8. Exhibit 2S and 2T King Fisher Combo Table 2-1 Task includes Fire Suppression System Releasing and Abort Stations. Is this accurate for the type of system?

9. Exhibit 2X and 2Z require replacing all sprinklers every ten years. Could you please provide quantities and types as well as the last time the sprinklers were replaced?

RESPONSE

1. All inspection reports at the disposal of Garrison will be provided to ACC.

2. No, DPW doesn’t have a maintenance schedule. The systems are required to be maintained according to the UFC 3-601-

02, 3-600-01, 4-021-01 and NFPA. Deficiencies are identified and corrected as found.

3. 1 February 2022 to current DPW has 96 routine, 184 Urgent, 10 emergency DMO issued.

4. The contractor is expected to restore (or attempt to restore) any OOS system that requires repair if the proposed amount of the repair is under $30K after KO approval. Any repair proposal exceeding the $30K in repairs will be handled on a case-by-case basis and evaluated by the KO.

5. Yes, repeat entries under the T/E of the contract indicate multiple systems within the same building.

6. The current documentation we have for the water mist system installation in building E3844 is dated 08/22/2011. The nozzle count is not listed in the documentation.

7. I do not have the requested information. The total amount of detectors is not something tracked in GFEBS as they are not a real property asset.

8. The tasks identified are lifted from the UFC 3-601-02 table 2-1 fire detection and alarm system ITM tasks. If the King Fisher combo panel has fire suppression system releasing and abort stations tied into the system (unlikely, these systems do not have releasing capabilities) the buttons are required to be tested in accordance with UFC 3-601-02 table 2-1.

9. Standard sprinklers, according to UFC 3-601-02 are required to be replaced every 50 years.

The 10-year replacement requirement is for “Dry Barrel Sprinklers” only. There are only a few buildings on the post that have dry barrel sprinklers; they are usually located under an awning, canopy, or loading dock. We do not have a count for the dry barrel sprinklers or replacement dates.
