Yes, plans will be required. I can’t provide pictures but during the site visit, vendors will have the opportunity to see the room and ask questions.

Do we need to provide any plans for Rm D0002?

Which version of REVIT do they require for as-builts?

I don’t understand the question.

Can you please comment on the section 13.3 on page 14 of the SOW – the section states that ‘The contractor shall be licensed as a General Contractor within the state of MA.’ In our case, our 49% owner has a Construction Supervisor license, but the license bears his name only and not the company’s. Is that sufficient, or do we need to make some sort of administrative change that has the company name on the license? We don’t want to be left out because of a small technicality and would like to comply with exactly what is expected of the awardee.

No, Section 13.3 of the SOW refers to Massachusetts Business Registration which is specific to the Business name that appears on the contract. Any business will have to be registered. Note that this "business registration" is different than an individual's professional certification (examples: Construction Super Lic., Architect Lic. or Professional Engineering Lic.... which are all similar to a Driver's license for an individual).

Businesses that operate within Massachusetts are required to register for one or more tax-specific identification numbers, licenses or permits, including income tax withholding, sales and use tax (seller’s permit), and unemployment insurance tax. Contact the Massachusetts Department of Revenue for more information about business registration and your tax obligations. To register a business, go to the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts webpage... the new link... https://www.mass.gov/how-to/register-your-business-with-masstaxconnect

The last page of the SOW indicates that there should be some drawings attached. I do not believe they are attached. I don’t necessarily need them, but I want to make sure that I have all the documents that I should.

No drawings, just photos.

On the questionnaire – Section A refers to ‘Manufacturer’ information – can you confirm you are looking for info on the brands of Carpet, Paint, static-mounted lettering, and wireway that are needed to complete the job? For example, the carpet shall be ‘Shaw Carpet (or approved brand name or similar) – so we would input data for Shaw in that section?

Correct, should be Shall or similar.

Page 3 of the SOW has a link to Antiterrorism training that all contractors would have to complete upon award. That link does not work. The reason I am interested in clicking on it and exploring is because I wanted to confirm it is a simple online training that would not be difficult to complete within the required timeframe. The broken link is - http://jko.jten.mil https://jkodirect.jten.mil/Atlas2/page/login/Login.jsf

Requesting clarification IRT the static mounted lettering/sign referenced in the Statement of Work.

In part “c” Overall Finished Dimensions of Letter: 113”Wx56”H” as quoted from the SOW, is the word ‘Letter’ correct? Or is that width and height delineation the overall dimensions of the entire sign?

How many lines of letters? Is it to be similar to the photo of the West Wall with the TACOM sign?

In part “d” Includes Static Mounted “United States Army Integrated Logistics Support Center”, does the word “includes” intimate that there is more wording for this sign?

How are these 6” tall letters installed on the wall? Are they first mounted on a backing board that is determined by the sign maker, or “stud mounted” directly to the GWB?

There is only one sign, in Conference Room R101, correct?

Lettering will include (2 lines):

United States Army Integrated Logistics Support Center

Overall dimensions are: 113”Wx56”H”

Contractor shall install The Great American Picture Company (brand name or similar) static mounted lettering/sign.

Only required for R101.

For electrical scope New devices are shown under the windows.
a.Please clarify if the wiring needs to be concealed in the wall (in-wall wiring) or we should plan on surface mount conduit.
b.If we need to open the wall for electrical rough-in, please advise if existing wall is a CMU wall.

On surface mount conduit.

1.Per Statement of work, Project description, item 2.1.5, “Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing ceiling tiles, and replace with new ceiling tiles” Could you provide the Spec for new ACT tiles and number of them that need to be replaced.

I don’t have the exact number as I’m not currently in the space, but should be able to base it of the size of the room.

15
Could you provide photos of exiting condition?
Photos provided for R101. No photos for D002 as it’s a secure room.
16
Could you provide the dimensions of the conference rooms?

Estimates:

R101: 23x29 D002: not available at the moment.

17
Confirm as-built drawing are limited within the conference rooms. (Rm#101 of Building 3 and Room D004 of Building 4.)
Work is limited to within the conference rooms.
18
“(c) complete the 100 Percent Design submittal (seeAPPENDIX D, CDRL A004), including submission of written responses to all Government comments andcompletion of the design review meeting, not later than 30 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. The Government requires 7 days for review and approval of these documents and the contractor shall factor this into meeting the completion date in this paragraph.”
a.Please confirm there is not design scope for this project
b.Could you advise where can we find Appendix D, CDRL A004?

CDRL A004 not required. No design work required.
