Question and Answer Log
| Question Number | Document | Document Reference | Question/Comments | Answer/Response | Date Received | Date Posted |
| 1 | DFP ECB-075 | 3.2.3 (Page 7) | DFP states "The top of the highest drawer shall be |
no more than 48 inches to accomodate the shoulder height of 5 percentile ARMY female." When the storage media was mounted on the floor in the SATS container it was within this requirement. The issue now is the Sturdy and mobile configuration requires wheels (SECTION 3.1.3.1) underneath the storage media and this will cause the drawer height to exceed this requirement.
| Will this be acceptable? | The 48 inche requirement was taken directly from the previous performance specification associated with SATS. However, current market research indicates that there are cabinets that approach drawer heights of 55 inches. Given that the 5th percentile female has an eye height of 59.1" and given commerciality of cabinets that have drawer heights of 55 inches, in an order to promote competition and utilize COTS, within 3.2.3 the top of the highest drawer shall be changed to say, "The top of the highest drawer shall be no more than 55 inches to accomodate the eye height of the 5th percentile Army female to allow her to view and retrieve items. The DFP shall be updated accordingly | 27-Aug-15 | 4-Sep-15 | |
| 2 | If the contractor identifies discontinued items |
within the DFP how would the government like us to submit substutute, or proposed next

Paragraph 3.4.5 Tool Load states, "Each item is then described separately in greater detail after the list. Variation in design characteristics based on a supplier’s common practice is acceptable provided those variations does not hinder the operation of the tool, the operator of the tool, or require additional time to complete a task with that tool." | 27-Aug-15 | 4-Sep-15 | ||||
