Questions &Answers
SolicitationW564KV-25-QA011
Occupational Garments Laundry Services
Is there a US property provided for contractor use at each location. (carts, shelfing, loading docks etc.) - No Typically, how are the drop off and pick up locations set up and operated? - The contractor should provide laundry bags or similar types of containers How will the items be stored for pickup (bulk or separated) - The items are stored for pick up in bulk Will the vendor be required to manage the drop/pickup locations? - No. The vendor has to manage the drop/pickup locations with an internal tracking tool, but not on the government sites. The vendor has to ensure that the USG can monitor the current status of its property at all times via web portal (see PWS).
Will USG personnel be receiving and recording the drop off using the contractors marking/tracking system? How will the continuity of items be managed between the hand off to the vendor from the pickup location? USG personnel are not allowed to use digital tracking systems. We will use the Unique Identification Number (UID, please see PWS) of each garment to track the laundry manually and provide you with a copy of the list we keep with each laundry bag.
Will drop off involve placing/sorting the items on shelfs for customer pickup? No shelves are in place, the clothing has to be dropped off at the POC in charge.
It can be assumed that the items will need to be folded upon return to the client (did not see it specifically in the PWS). Are there any other packaging requirements? Yes, items should be folded and protected from dust and dirt when dropped off.
