About this file

Written by GovTribe AI ·

This document provides details on a federal solicitation for infrared countermeasure flares. The solicitation is being issued by the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island and seeks proposals for the M206 and MJU-7A/B infrared countermeasure flare families. The M206 flare is used to protect helicopters, low-altitude aircraft, and some fixed-wing aircraft from infrared heat-seeking missiles. The MJU-7A/B flare is used to protect fighter and attack aircraft. Proposals are due by January 6, 2020. Respondents must have the necessary facilities, equipment, hazardous materials handling experience, safety systems, and classified document clearance to produce these sensitive and volatile flares. The technical data package is restricted for use by the Department of Defense and its contractors. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 325998 for all other miscellaneous chemical product and preparation manufacturing.
