Reduced Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) and First Article Testing (FAT) for M772 and M776
REFERENCE:
a. W52P1J-16-R-0131, M776/M772, Fuze Request for Proposal (RFP)
b. MIL-F-70713, & MIL-F-70620A, Fuze Specification
DISCUSSION: A reduced test program has been devised to reduce the cost of LAT and FAT for the M772 & M776 fuzes, and to more accurately reflect the maturity of the MTSQ fuze design. Input from JUNGHANS MicroTech, an ARDEC quality assurance were used to devise a reduced sampling plan.
The proposed LAT for the M772 and M776 fuzes are listed below in Tables 1 and 2, respectively.
Group Charge QE (mils) Temp (F) Set Time (s) Samples Comments 1 12 Arming Safety 2 1 800-1000 70 16.5 10 Post Trans-Vibration 5 4 1400 70 44 10 Reduced from 20 to 10 6 2 1156 -50 28 10 Reduced from 20 to 10 7 2 1156 145 28 10 Reduced from 20 to 10
