About this file

This is a Questions & Answers document for federal contract opportunity W51AA1-26-Q-A079 Tower Inspection and Maintenance, dated August 6, 2026.

A contractor submitted a question on August 5, 2026, requesting detailed specifications and quantities for materials required under CLIN 0003 to accurately price the material portion of the contract. The contractor sought clarification on multiple Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements across four tower structures: the LMR Tower, Building 32 Platform, 100 Ft Tower Track Tower, and 330 Ft Tower. Specific requests included quantities and specifications for RF radiation and high-voltage warning signs, structural bolts, turnbuckle safeties, thimbles, guy-wire markers, shackles, safety wire, cathodic protection systems, stainless-steel cotter pins, coax cable hangers, grounding specifications for guy wires and anchor points, perimeter fence dimensions, and unused antennas and equipment to be removed. The government responded that towers must be inspected in accordance with relative Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) code specific to structure type, including TIA-222 for guyed towers. The government stated that contractors are responsible for verifying quantities, sizing, and other specifications during their site visit.
